Stila Major Lash Mascara Review

In my quest for the perfect mascara, I was lucky enough to come across this little beauty.  Stila Major Lash is one of the brand's best sellers, and it's not hard to see why.  This really does provide major volume and length, without clumping or flaking.  The best part is that it's a steal at only $8.50!

If I were to compare this to another mascara, it would probably be L'Oreal Voluminous... the formula is thick and luscious, and makes your lashes look beautiful and dramatic without feeling fake.  The brush is very thin, allowing you to get to the roots without smearing product everywhere - this is key for getting your lashes looking as long as possible.  The short bristles allow for perfect separation of each lash, defining it perfectly without clumping.  I've also noticed that this mascara holds curl very well.



When first applied, the formula of Major Lash is a bit wet, but it dries quite quickly nevertheless.  Stila claims that this mascara is meant to be layered, and can be applied for touchups throughout the day if needed.  I've never needed touchups from this, however, so I can't vouch for that fact.

Major Lash comes in a very thin silver tube that closes tightly to keep the mascara from drying out.  There is .18oz of product, which is .02 less than most, but that isn't a whole lot to miss.  It only comes in the shade black, and there is no waterproof version.  I wouldn't recommend this for people who wear contacts or who have other eye issues, because it does tend to make my eyes sting when I remove it, and Stila has not stated that it is safe for those cases.



Overall I would recommend it to those of you who enjoy the lush lash look.  It's affordable and effective.
